That isn't a complaint that I have heard a lot of concerning the Bauer Products European Style RV Entry Door Lock # BA38AR. Finding a replacement hand rail could be a solution. I'm not sure what travel trailer you have or what hand rail set-up you are currently using but something like the Stromberg Carlson Folding Handrail # AC-300 may work. If you want a lighter version go with the Bauer Products Door Lock for Horse and Utility Trailers - Matte Black - Glass Filled Nylon # BA63FR. This model is not as sturdy as the die cast zinc but it can still take a beating.
